Consider World Cares Center for your Hurricane Sandy Giving
My friend Lisa Orloff started World Cares Center in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks and has demonstrated the value of being in position to coordinate the efforts of community volunteers–even spontaneous ones– to promote community resilience. Lisa’s teams were delivering a steady supply of work boots and massages (among other supplies) to the 9/11 responders in the earliest days after the attacks. If you are considering making a donation to support Hurricane Sandy relief– or would like to volunteer–I hope you will consider World Cares Center.
